Elaboration of project for construction of building of Airport Flight Control at Airport “Lađevci” near Kraljevo, investment worth 3.5m EUR

Flight Control Agency of Serbia and Montenegro has recently initiated design of project documentation for construction of facility of the Airport Flight Control at military airport "Lađevci” near Kraljevo. Belgrade-based company “Mašinoprojekt Kopring” has been chosen to deliver that documentation.

Construction of the control tower was announced two years ago and, according to the plans at that time, this project required investments worth about 3.5m EUR. That would enable landing and taking off od smaller civil aircrafts. What would follow is the broadening and extension of the existing runway, which would enable landing and taking off of large commercial aircrafts.

Establishment of civil air transportation would be of great importance to this part of Serbia because there are eight municipalities with about 1m citizens around the airport in Lađevci. All these municipalities, as well as existing and future tourist capacities on Kopaonik, Goč, Pešter, Golija, in Vrnjačka and Mataruška spa resorts, are only one hour of car driving away from the future airport in central Serbia.
