As the airline says, from November 1 on, passengers will be able to bring only one small piece of hand luggage on board, such as handbags or laptop bags, whereas the suitcase luggage will have to be put in the freight section of the airplane.
Still, passengers with boarding priority, who pay an additional five pounds, will be allowed to take in two bags.
The airline said that the decision had been made in order to address the issue of flights being late due to the fact that too many passengers used to bring two bags on board, which there was no room for.
Ryanair also announced that it would reduce the fees for larger bags from 35 to 25 pounds in order to encourage passengers to put more luggage in the freight section.
The airline will also increase the weight threshold for the freight section from 15 to 20 kilograms.
