Tender for main contractor for construction of Chinese Cultural Center in New Belgrade – Facility to be completed in February 2019

Empiret d.o.o, a daughter company of Shandong Hi Speed Group, has opened a tender for the main contractor for the construction of the Chinese Cultural Center at 3 Tresnjinog Cveta Street in New Belgrade.

The construction of this building, in the location of the former Chinese embassy in New Belgrade, demolished in the NATO bombing of 1999, started this July. The excavation works and the laying down of the piles was put in charge of local companies, and the foundation pit is currently being secured.

The works are carried out by Novkol Belgrade and Masinogradnja.

The bid submission deadline is September 12, and, as Ilija Krilovic, the person in charge of conducting the tender, says for eKapija, the possession of the construction site will depend on the dynamics of the works and will be defined by contract.

The deadline for the completion of the facility is February 1, 2019.

As announced earlier, the 32,000-m2 building will have two underground levels and eight floors, and the construction will cost EUR 45 million.

The ground floor will feature classrooms for promotion of Chinese culture. The first floor will contain an exhibition hall, an open grand hall and a green section. The remaining floors will be occupied by complexes of various purposes and office space.
