Gorenje doubles net profit

(Illustration) In the first six months of this year, Gorenje Group generated EUR 623.9 m of sales revenues, which is 7.3% more than in the same period last year.
Operating profit before depreciation increased by 12% to EUR 40.6 m. Net profit more than doubled to EUR 4.4 m.
The largest sales growth was recorded on non-European markets, where sales jumped by 30%. Solid growth is also recorded in Benelux and in the markets of Eastern Europe.
In the first half of the year, they invested EUR 30.7 m mostly in new product development.
