October 2017 Belgrade to host Serbian-African investment forum

The President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce Marko Cadez and Zolani Mkiva, a founder and Secretary General of the Serbian-African Investment Forum - SAIF, signed a Business Co-operation Agreement which aims at improving joint activities and strengthening economic ties between Serbia and the region with the South African Republic and the African Union. Cooperation of two business associations will significantly contribute to business forum preparation and organization in October in Belgrade, which will bring together officials and business leaders from the South African Republic, according to a statement by the SCC.

- Several months ago, we started discussing organization of a big business forum in Serbia, which would not be a one-time event but a guideline for a long-term promotion of business relations between Serbia and the South African Republic, but also other countries from both regions. We have defined the concept and basic event guidelines, and I expect the forum to support chambers of commerce and companies such as the Western Balkan region as well as Eastern and Central Europe - the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary - Marko Cadez said, president of the SCC, after signing the agreement.

Mutual activities of the SCC and SAIF, as pointed out by the President of SCC, should improve investment cooperation, transfer of technologies and know-how from Serbia and the region to Africa, increase exports to the African market, and placement of goods through Serbia to third markets.
