Volkswagen "golf 6" to be launched in October - the cheapest variant to cost 16,500 EUR

German "Volkswagen", the largest automobile manufacturer in Europe, announced today (August 6, 2008) that the sale of long-expected new model "golf 6" will start in October.

This automobile will first appear in the markets of Europe, and then in Africa, Asia, Australia and North America.

The Executive Manager of "Volkswagen", Martin Vinterkorn, said that the company hoped to sell 600,000 new models in 2009.

Last year, the company sold 580,000 "golf 5" automobiles.

The cheapest version of "golf 6" will cost 16,500 EUR in German, about 200 EUR more than the current model.
