The Supervisory Boart of the Pirot-based company Tigar has appointed Vladimir Ilic as the new general manager of the company, in place of the former general manager, Branislav Curic, the company reported.

A Bachelor of Law, Ilic has so far been state secretary at the Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veteran and Social Policy and an active participant in the competent ministry’s working groups in the sector of welfare and the enhancement of the legislation in this field.

For three years, he was director of the Belgrade Department of Social Services, and he also has ten years of experience as a legal professional at the Lazarevac office of the said department.

The press release says that the tenure of the previous general manager of Tigar, Branislav Curic, has been marked in the past fourteen months by the conversion of the debt into the capital of state creditors in line with the decision of the Government of Serbia of September 13, 2016.

Tigar has thereby been freed of its old debts, which date back to the period before 2013, amounting to RSD 2.2 billion (around EUR 17.8 million), which is very important for the company.

Curic remains a part of Tigar, the press release says.
