Siemens will build two technological centers in Chengdu, the capital of the southwestern Chinese province of Sichuan, the company announced on Saturday, August 5, 2017.

Siemens will build a global center for research and development of industrial computer programs and an innovation center for intelligent manufacture in Chengdu. The centers will cost a billion yuans (USD 147 million) and be located in the high-tech development zone in Chengdu.

Wang Haibin, Executive Vice President of Siemens China, said that the new centers would reduce the gap between the supply and the demand in the Chinese market.
