Brazil Days in Novi Sad on August 11-13

For the eighth year in a row, Novi Sad will host the Brazil Days event – the Novi Sad samba carnival, which will take place on August 11 through 13.

The organizers says that the traditional international festival will once again bring together true fans of Brazilian culture, arts and sports, providing the visitors with an opportunity to feel the spirit of Brazil in the city’s center though the event’s program, workshops and the closing carnival procession.

Throughout the three days of the festival, top experts from Europe and Brazil in the fields of samba percussion, capoeira and samba dancing will hold workshops at the Petrovaradin Fortress, the city beach Strand and the dancing studio Allegro, both for those with experience and those who want to get to know Brazilian culture this way, the press release says.

The opening of the festival is scheduled for Friday, August 11, at 8 p.m. at the Petrovaradin Fortress, when the program of the workshops of samba dancing, percussion and capoeira will be presented.

– The visitors can also look forward to open-air parties at the fortress, a performance in the city’s center, and the festival will close with a carnival procession of all capoeiristas, samba percussionists and dancers, who will pass through the city’s center to the rhythm of samba, showcasing their skills and the results of their participation in the workshops – the organizers announce.
