Further development of economic cooperation with Qatar planned

The relations between Serbia and Qatar are good and are projected for further development, especially regarding the economy and investments, it was said on Friday, August 4, 2017, at the meeting between the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Ivica Dacic and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Qatar Soltan bin Saad Al Muraikhi.

Both sides recognized an intensified dialogue on the highest level and expressed conviction that the upcoming visit of the Emir of Qatar to Serbia would further strengthen the relations between the two countries, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.

Minister Dacic conformed Serbia’s readiness to develop an all-encompassing cooperation with Qatar in all the areas where there were realistic opportunities, as well as a mutual interest, for it.

The mutual wish to enhance the economic ties between the two countries, through an increase in foreign trade and the arrival of Qatari investments to Serbia, was also expressed.
