Belgrade's Halkbank published its results from the first six months of 2017, showing a growth of profit in the main business, though mostly thanks to the first quarter.

Net interest income rose by 22.8% to RSD 715.8 million in the January-June period, whereas net F&C income jumped by 6.1% to RSD 279.9 million.

Still, due to the absence of recoveries present in the first half of 2016, the net profit was down nearly 50% to RSD 202.7 million.

At the end of June, Halkbank's assets stood at RSD 37.4 billion, a growth of 7% since the beginning of the year.

At the current price of RSD 9,000 per share, the market capitalization of Halkbank (including priority shares) amounts to RSD 3.1 billion (EUR 25.4 million), Wisebroker reports.
