Sinvoz contracts job worth EUR 30 million – Company to employ another 150 people in 2017

The Zrenjanin-based company Sinvoz, which repairs rail vehicles, has signed a contract worth EUR 30 million with a Canadian company. The realization of the contract will take eight years, and the problem is the lack of workforce. The job contest in the company is constantly open.

In addition to the current employees in Sinvoz, the company is expected to employ another 150 people. Welders, locksmiths, engineers and technologists are needed in order for the job to be realized.

– Preparations for the realization of this job should be completed by the end of the year. A certain number of welders and locksmiths need to be hired and trained at our foreign partner to work in its facilities. Parallel to this, tools needed to make the products we plan to manufacture here should be produced. Furthermore, tests need to be performed and prototypes need to be made, while the serial production should start in early 2018 and last for the next eight years. One part of the employees will be trained at the facilities of our foreign clients and they will later act as instructors, training people who will work on the realization of the project here – says Radomir Miljus, director of Sinvoz.

Two college institutions in Zrenjanin educate mechanical engineers, and the Technical High School educates locksmiths. Still, dual education is by far the most important.

– Our Technical College has a welding simulator and is the only one to have such a device in a wider territory, so we can secure quick education, but we are doing something much more complex here as well. We want to turn students into a quality workforce base during their regular school education and have them adapt their knowledge to the needs of companies such as Sinvoz by using the dual education model – says Dusko Radisic, Deputy Mayor of Zrenjanin.

The contracted job is worth EUR 30 million. Sinvoz is technically prepared and has all the necessary certificates, and young people are provided with an opportunity to acquire practical knowledge and find a job immediately after finishing school.
