A chance for transport and nautical tourism - World Channel Conference 2009 in Vojvodina

Vojvodina has a great potential to use its water resources. Based on the partnership with European regions, we have accepted invitation to represent our possibilities already in September of this year, at the World Channel Conference in Canada. Our organization of this important assembly next year could be a great chance to represent all our capacities and it would open up new possibilities for foreign investments, as well as for rehabilitation of our resources. We also expect that it would give support and that it would strengthen entire economic growth of our region, stated Predrag Novikov, Director of the Office for European Affairs.

There was a meeting held with representatives of Tourist Organization of Serbia, with JVP "Waters of Vojvodina", as well as with other associations, in organization of the Office for European Affairs, and in the presence of Vice-President of AP Vojvodina Parliament, Sinisa Lazic, and on the occasion of possibilities and chances which could bring possible organization of the World Channel Conference in 2009, in our country.

- Organization of this significant manifestation could be a good chance for several hundred representatives of relevant institutions, as well as from the private sector, to visit Vojvodina. I am certain that AP Vojvodina would use this opportunity to represent its commercial capacity, with a special accent on historical heritage. Also, it is a special priority to represent modernization of Becej, Mali Stapar, Klek and Bezdan, said Lazic.
