After being pleasantly surprised at the existance of the switchyard Makis, DynCorp increases their investments into the Belgrade Airport from $23 million to $40 million in the first year

Steven Canon, president of the DynCorp company, who are founding a joint company with the Belgrade Airport for construction, management and development of the cargo concourse and logistics center in Surcin, was more than surprised when he was informed that 8 km away from Surcin there is a switchyard with 120 tracks, one of the greatest and latest in Europe. After that, it was decided that DynCorp should increase their investments in the first year from $23 million to $40 million. Thereby the total investment during the first 5 years of business grew from $60.6 million to $77.6 million.
