The German company "Heidelberg - Cement" in interested in opening a unique factory in Bor where the main raw material for the production of cement, besides limestone, would be the flotation raw ore. The technology was developed and patented by Radmila Petrovic, quondam worker of the Institute for Copper of the consortium of Mine-Smeltery Basin (RTB) Bor. Preliminary talks have already been made with the representatives of "Heidelberg Cement". The Germans also took certain quantities of the flotation raw ore in order to ratify the possibility of getting cement out of it in their laboratories. The raw material base is also in favor of the Bor company, since it possesses significant deposits of limestone, quartz sand and a quarry. The location where the factory is meant to be built is in the current plant for lime production "Zagradje" which is in the very vicinity of road and railway lines.

If the Germans decide to open a factory in Bor, 100.000 tons of cement would be produced annually. The reserves of the flotation raw ore are such as to exploit it at least in the next 50 years.
