Agreement on construction of new bus station in Block 42 signed

Mayor of Belgrade Sinisa Mali today signed an agreement on the joined construction of the bus station facility in Block 42 with the director of Beogradska Autobuska Stanica (BAS), Andjelko Mucibabic.

According to Mali, this is the final bit of paperwork necessary to start realizing one of the most important investments within Belgrade. As he announced, the works are to start by the end of the year, and Belgrade will get a new bus station in two years.

– This bus station will take up 13,000 square meters. Belgrade is investing the land, and BAS a.d. Belgrade is investing around EUR 25 million, which is how much the works will cost. This will be a unique station in Europe, as only Lisbon has a similar one, entailing intercity, long-distance, international and tourist transport – Mali said.
