(Ana Brnabic) The prime minister-designate Ana Brnabic has pointed out that she will expect hard work, discipline and, above all, team work, from the government she will run.

She said that she would require from her ministers to fully honor the position of the prime minister, to work hard and make decisions as a team.

– I will make hard decisions as a prime minister wherever it is needed and will certainly always stand behind the Government's decisions, defending them whatever the criticism might be – she underlined.

Brnabic said that she was inheriting a full budget, as well as ordered and stable public finances from the previous government and said that she would be brave and continue carrying out measures which will secure Serbia's future and development, regardless of how unpopular they might be.

– I will be absolutely brave and will continue enforcing unpopular measures when it comes to financial stability and Serbia's future – Brnabic said.

The citizens, she added, can expect further salary and pension raises in line with the budget and without jeopardizing it or the continued process of the reduction of the public debt.

As she said, the citizens will be able to see the effects of these measures more clearly in 2018 and 2019, reflected in a bigger number of jobs, investments, increased purchasing power...

The consultations about the composition of the Government to be headed by Brnabic are nearing completion, and the final composition of the ministerial team, according to the Belgrade media, was supposed to be disclosed on June 26. The prime minister-designate is supposed to present her expose on Wednesday, June 28, the St. Vitus Day, whereas the members of the new government are to take their oath a day later.

Brnabic announced that the presentation of the expose would take about an hour.
