NEW AUCTION OF BELGRADE SUGAR RAFINERY “DIMITRIJE TUCOVIC” SCHEDULED FOR SEPTEMBER 23

Agency for Privatization has announced the new auction for sale of the Belgrade Sugar Rafinery “Dimitrije Tucovic” in bankruptcy on September 23.
The initial price will be 5,9 million dinars, the same price as it was at the auction sale in June, that was unsuccessful, because there were no interesting buyers.
The factory is on sale as the entity without any debts, and all the participants of the auction are supposed to pay the deposit money in the amount of 2,4 million dinars until September 16.
Two production complex are offered on sale at two different locations- one is close to Ada Ciganlija, where the old factory is situated, the oldest one that has ever started to work in Serbia, and the other one in Padinska Skela, where the new factory is located with a capacity of 6.000 tons of sugar beat refinement per day.
These factories have stopped its operation in 1982, and in 1998. The old factory is located at the ground of 7,4 h, and the new one has the facilities at 102 h of the land and has its own infrastructure for gas and mazut, transformer station, its own limekiln, tanks for mazut and molasses, concrete basin, warehouses and silos, the administration building and the restaurant, as well as its own connection to railroad and highway network.
