Belgrade-New York flight sees 80.000 passengers in a year

Over the past 12 months, Air Serbia
has completed 204 return flights between Belgrade and New York, with a strong
and ever-increasing aircraft capacity.
Representatives
of Air Serbia, which after 24 years re-connected our country with the United
States, say they are extremely pleased to celebrate the first anniversary of
the successful launch of flights to New York.

23, 2016 at 8.08 am and landed at the Kennedy Airport at 11.45 am US time.
- Our first flight was long awaited in Serbia and across Southeastern Europe for two reasons - Serbia rejoined with USA with the first flight operated by a domestic airline since 1992, and a regular transatlantic air link with the United States, - they point out in Air Serbia, and Belgrade’s newspaper report.
The
composition of guests is balanced with 47% originating from North America and
53% from Europe, and in the region, two thirds are made up of people from
Serbia, Novosti reports.
Air
Serbia explains there is interest of passengers from neighboring countries, and
that reactions of Serbian diaspora in North America are positive.
They
say that with up to five flights a week at this line represents a convenient
option for both business and tourist trips.
This
has influenced increase in tourist visits from America, especially those that
combine Belgrade and the Adriatic coast.
Air
Serbia also points out that they have entered into a partnership with US
carriers to improve connectivity and simplify travel.
They
also said that the flight to New York has a positive impact on trade, where Air
Serbia's business in the field of goods transport exceeds every expectation.
