EPS acquires share of 41,7% at Electric Power Industry of Montenegro from ASA?

The Electric Power Industry of Serbia is interested in the acquisition of 41,7% share which Italian company A2A has at the Electric Power Industry of Montenegro (EPCG), Vijest finds out.

EPS did not neglect or confirm this information.

- Questions on purchase of share package of energy companies such as Electric Power Industry of Montenegro is in the accountability of the resource ministries since strategic decisions related to expansion of the Electric Power Industry of Serbia in the region are made at the level of the Government of Serbia which is the founder of Public company EPS – PR Department of EPS responded when asked by Vijesti if they are negotiating with A2A on share acquisition at EPCG.



The resource Ministry of mining and energy of Serbia responded they are not in charge of these kinds of plans and that Vijesti should address it to the Ministry of Economy.

A2A hired investment bank Rothschild to sell share at the Electric Power Industry of Montenegro by the end of the year.

Montenegrin Prime Minister, Dusko Markovic, confirmed in late May that A2A started the process of sale of its shares at EPCG.
