Access road at the Prokop station opened

(Prokop) Traffic junction with infrastructure and bridge construction for access to railway station Belgrade - Center, known as Prokop, has been opened today.

During the opening, mayor of Belgrade, Sinisa Mali, pointed out that one large investment totaling RSD 429 m was implemented and the works were done within the deadline, Beoinfo reports.

This way, Mali said, we fully put into operation a station that was opened at the beginning of last year.

- Prokop station is necessary to move the main railway station from the Sava Amphitheater and at the same time to open space for the second stage of development of the Belgrade Waterfront project. I am satisfied with the works done, especially aesthetic solution, and now we have to choose one of interested investors in order to finish construction of the station building, and with commercial facilities end this important project – mayor said.

According to him, the start of new bus station construction in Block 42 is expected by the end of the year, and it is planned that the works last for 18 months.
