In cooperation with partners from Saudi Arabia, NIS Naftagas drills petroleum and water in Sudan, Yemen and Saudi Arabia

NIS Naftagas and NPS National Petroleum Services from Saudi Arabia signed a memorandum on understanding, which anticipates the engagement of Naftagas on petroleum and water boreholes at the concession in Yemen, as well as providing services of maintenance and potential partnership in founding a company in Saudi Arabia.

By the end of April 2005, there were negotiations on joint participation of the companies on the tender for water drilling for the company Aramco. The tender was announced for the period of 3+1 years for drilling and providing equipment on 30-40 boreholes annually, with the depths of 150-1500 meters. There were negotiations also on joint engagement concerning the construction of boreholes and the irrigation systems in Sudan. The depth of the boreholes in up to 400 meters, and the scope of work from 800 to 2000 boreholes.
