SCC receives EU acknowledgment

(European Parliament) Serbian Chamber of Commerce (SCC) announced that the adopted Resolution of the European Parliament it received the highest praise "for its role in promoting regional cooperation and contribution to establish the Chamber Investment Forum of the Western Balkans".

As stated, the President of SCC, Marko Cadez said that this way the European Union gives another award to the Chamber for activities it undertakes to build awareness of the need for regional cooperation, common market and joint appearance in the world, as well as enhanced connecting of business communities as a key mechanism for economic development and improvement of competitiveness of the region, economy and the companies individually.

- This is a natural interest of our economies and a precondition for progress towards EU membership - he said.

Cadez reminded that the Chamber Investment Forum which was set up in the framework of the Berlin Process, at the initiative of SCC and which brings together eight chambers of commerce in the region with 350,000 companies - members, in the past two years became a key factor of cohesion in the region.

President of SCC said that within the Chamber Investment Forum only last year there were dozens of business forums and encounters as well as more than 2.000 bilateral talks of West Balkans companies.
