Ministry of Economy asks for revoking of concession for Horgoš-Požega highway

Ministry of Economy of Serbia will ask for the concession contract for construction of Horgoš-Požega highway to be revoked.

The concessionaire – consortium Alpine -PORR, now asks for extension of concession period from 25 to 30 years and the guarantee of the state of Serbia about minimum number of vehicles on the road section where the concessionaire is supposed to collect toll.

The assistant to the Minister of Economy, Nebojša Ćirić, said that he hoped that we would be finally brought to our senses and that we would say to the concessionaire that the contract could not be changed all the time to our disadvantage.

The additional three-month spell given by the Government of Serbia to concessionaire Alpina-PORR to submit guarantee that the construction of the highway will be financed by Deutsche Bank expires today.
