"A-Tec" now has enough money to buy Mining Smelter Basin "Bor" - Kovač waits to Serbia's move

Austrian concern "A-Tec" now has the money to buy Mining Smelter Basin (RTB) "Bor" - said the Head of the company, Mirko Kovač, to Viennese daily newspaper "Standard".

The decision was made at the assembly of stockholders about increase in basic capital, as well as about purchase of their own stocks. The assembly of stockholders also decided to pay dividends only when the rate of their own capital is above 20% (it currently amounts to about 13%). That means that dividends will not be paid to the stockholders this year.

As far as purchase of other companies is concerned, Kovač pointed out that no expansion was in the pipeline, except for purchase of RTB "Bor". The next "grand style" procurement should take place in two years.

- "A-Tec" now has enough cash for RTB Bor and if Serbia decides to sell that company, the deal will have to be quickly concluded - said he.
