Union of Employers of Serbia against the Law on dual education - Legislation process to be returned to beginning

The Union of Employers of Serbia made a number of objections to the Draft of the Law on dual education and stated they believe the whole process of determining the text was not transparent to most stakeholders. The Union of Employers of Serbia said it has not received an official invitation to participate in the working group for preparation of the draft, not even, as they say, to be a participant in public discussions.- The attitude of the Union of Employers of Serbia is that education should meet the needs of the market and that learning by doing is the only way to provide high-quality and well-trained workforce that now is not the case – it was stated among other things.The Union of Employers of Serbia emphasizes the Draft does not show its clear objective, which is as they say, its key objection.The Union has proposed that entire legislative process is returned to the beginning, and that, as they say, is transparent and that it should involve all stakeholders and an analysis of the current situation and real needs.Public debate on the Draft of the Law on dual education began May 26 in Novi Sad, then held on June 1 in Nis and ended June 8 in Belgrade.
