Kazakhstan interested in Petrohemija - Potential cooperation in special industry

One Kazakh petrochemical company is interested in Petrohemija, President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic said on Friday, June 9, 2017, in Astana.

- Petrochemical company from Kazakhstan is interested in Petrohemija. It is very important for us, because we are struggling with chemical complex. The only solution is to find the ones which would participate in privatization and retrieve chemical complex, which have sources of gas and oil which are cheaper. Those who can purchase oil and gas at lower prices can manage chemical complex much easier than we in the future – Vucic said.

He said today Petrohemija has EUR 60 m at the account and it does not have problem with this price of oil, but someday, when oil prices jumps, and therefore it is important that at this time the issue is solved.

Vucic also visited two factories of Kazakh defense industry and pointed out there is a possibility of cooperation in defense industry.

- We started to discuss joint cooperation in this field - he said and added that "investment in defense industry is a good investment in the future not only for the protection of our country, but for the fact we will be able to earn most of the funds. This is where we will invest a lot in the next period.

Vucic resides in Kazakhstan as a special guest of President Nursultan Nazarbayev at the opening of Expo 2017.
