Nikola Tesla Airport records increase in cargo transport by 14% in May 2017

After a drop in April, the Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport recorded a strong growth of cargo traffic in May.

In the past month, the Airport recorded 1,134.2 tons in goods traffic, an increase of 14% compared to the same month of 2016, whereas a jump of cargo traffic by 8.6% to 6,246.2 tons was registered in the first five months.

The mail traffic jumped by 14.3% in May, whereas the year-to-date growth was 11%. As already known, the Nikola Tesla Airport transported 432,828 passengers in May, a growth of slightly under 4%, whereas the number of passengers year-to-date was 1.8 million (a growth of 9.3%), Wisebroker reports.
