Belgrade Arena seeking new sponsor – Public invitation opened, decision in July 2017

The future name of the Belgrade Arena and its sponsor will be known this July.

The ad for the name sponsor of the facility, whose current name is Kombank Arena, was placed today, and applications are to be sent within the next 30 days. The auction will be held a day after the expiration of the application deadline. The decision on the awarding of the contract is to be made by the Commission for carrying out the public invitation within 10 days of the completion of the auction, and it is therefore expected that the new name will be known as soon as this July.

The future sponsor has the right to, among other things, change the name of the facility by putting the name of its brand in front of “Arena”, to display the new name in the interior of the facility, to control the signing of agreements with other sponsors...

All local and foreign legal persons may take part in the public invitation. The application must contain a monetary part, which may not be lower than EUR 1 million, a natural part, which pertains to the mounting of two video display walls on the exterior of Arena, the price of which may not exceed EUR 1.3 million, including all other expenses, as well as a proposal of the name of the building.

The highest individual bid will be taken as the starting auction value. The prescribed increment is EUR 25,000.

The five-year contract with Komercijalna Banka, which has provided the facility with its name – Kombank Arena, was signed in late June 2012.

Representatives of the Arena Beograd company have recently revealed that there are several companies interested in sponsoring the biggest multifunction hall in the Balkans.
