Half a year ago a device was installed at the water-catchment one, which provides high quality drinking water by decreasing the level of arsene in it to the lowest possible measure. However, such water does not reach all the parts of Subotica municipality, and the project which is being offered to Subotica via the Government of the Netherlands concerning the installation of water purifying device in all the city and suburban local communities which have not been covered by the device at the water-catchment one, could solve the problem. The whole thing would be done through cooperation with the Dutch company DHV and one Belgrade company. Holland would provide 35-50% of the assets. The job of installing such a device would cost around 7 million euros and Subotica ought to provide that money partly from its own budget, and partly from the Government of the Republic and other European sources, which means lobbying in the Republic Parliament. Subotica is one of the 4 cities in Serbia which was offered such help. In case the project gets accepted, the overall documentation ought to be composed in a month's period. Everything would be finished in a year's time.
