BAT invested 100m EUR in DIV in five years

- Company "British American Tobacco" (BAT) has invested about 100m EUR in modernization of production in Tobacco Industry Vranje (DIV) over the past five years - said the Manager of Corporate Affairs of BAT for southeast Europe, Srđan Lazović.

- Since the moment the Vranje-based company was privatized in September 2003, BAT has increased production by 400%, to 4.5 billion cigarettes per year in 2007, and enlarged the share on Serbian market from about 15 to 22% - said he.

Lazović pointed out that BAT would continue to invest in new technologies and personnel in Serbia in order to increase productivity, but he did not specify the amount of projected investments.
