Western Balkans Suppliers Day on May 31 in Belgrade – German companies looking for partners

The Chamber of Commerce of Serbia is organizing the Western Balkans Suppliers Day with 24 German companies looking for partners from the region on Wednesday, May 31, in Belgrade, the president of the CCIS, Marko Cadez, stated on May 29.

– This is the third German initiative for finding suppliers in the Western Balkans states, but what's specific about this one is that, for the first time after Munich last year, after Dortmund, this is now being organized together with the German Chamber of Commerce and the Association for Supply Chain Management, Procurement and Logistics, which brings together over 9,000 biggest German companies. They are looking for new suppliers, cooperators and new partners – Cadez stated on TV Pink.

The plan is to have 142 companies from the region, of which 50 from Serbia, attend the Suppliers Day.

– More than 400 companies applied, and only a third of them have managed to meet the criteria. You need to meet very demanding requirements in terms of procedures, processes, product quality and the organization of production, the way the factory is organized – Cadez says.

According to Cadez, the Germans are interested in products from the fields of metal processing, car part manufacture, plastic processing and plastic part manufacture, as well as electro-industry.

He says that the Germans are mostly very particular about what kind of product they need, providing detailed diagrams, following which the company asks the supplier whether it can provide the product. They then inspect the procedures at the factory, and if their requirements are met, negotiations follow.
