(Miloš Bugarin)
President of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia, Miloš Bugarin, announced opening of the Chamber's office in Ljubljana, which should improve cooperation between the entrepreneurs from the two countries.
Yesterday (June 18, 2008), at the meeting of the Slovenian Business Club, he pointed out that the economic cooperation between the two countries was good and that it would be even better in the future.
- Slovenia is the largest foreign investor in Serbia and there are currently about 400 Slovenian companies operating in Serbia. However, thanks to the entrance of companies "ComTrade" and "Delta" to Slovenian market, cooperation between the two countries is not carried out in one direction only any more – said Bugarin.
(Zdenko Pavček)
President of the Chamber of Commerce of Slovenia, Zdenko Pavček, said that Serbia would remain one of the largest economic partners of Slovenia in the future.
He said that that there was no resistance in Slovenia towards investors from Serbia and that "excellent conditions are now created for realization of investments of Serbian entrepreneurs in Slovenia".
He said there had been some objective reasons why Serbian capital had not been reaching Slovenian market, such as internal situation in Serbia, adding that Slovenian companies had also been privatized in the meantime.
According to his words, the Chamber of Commerce of Slovenia will work on making realization of the activities of foreign investors in Slovenia much easier and on providing equal terms for both foreign and local investors.
