– We have clients in nearly all industries, but we focus on healthcare and financial technologies. Sweden is on its way to becoming a so-called cashless society, that is, a society in which all transactions are made by cards and phones. Only 2% of transactions are made by using cash. To us, money is not a physical thing, but numbers in your internet bank. We've developed numerous solutions for paying through mobile phones, and I have not used cash myself for four years now. Our solutions are used in Sweden and Finland the most, and one of the most famous mobile applications for online payment developed by the company is Swish, which has around 5.5 million users and a million transactions a day – says Anna Lindvall of HiQ.Swish.
She adds that the two-day visit to Serbia aimed to look into a different environment and find new ideas or a way to adapt the existing concepts, so that the concept of a cashless society would be applicable in Serbia as well.
– For example, you can't pay for a taxi ride by card in Serbia, which is news to me – Lindvall adds.
As she says, she hopes for potential tax payment solutions adapted to Serbia, which would contribute to the visibility and reduction of gray economy.
