GeoGIS Konsultanti Beograd signed contract on GIS support to elaboration of project for maintenance of road network in Albania

At the beginning of May 2008, GeoGIS signed the contract on provision of GIS support for the elaboration of the project for maintenance of road network in Albania. The contractor is English company Reighton International, while GeoGIS should provide GIS support for the project for process of optimization of maintenance and reconstruction of Albania's road network. The support includes supply of the entrance database for the computer optimization project (multicriteria optimization with non-linear target functions and limitation function that contains data about technical characteristics of the road, state of the lane structure, as well as all other attributes that are necessary for optimization process.

Following the completion of the optimization project, GeoGIS' task will be to transform the optimal solution into the GIS user solution and to train representatives of the Ministry of Public Works of Albania to use that solution when making the plans for maintenance and reconstruction of segments of road network in Albania.

The representative of GeoGIS in realization of the project will be Prof. Dr. Toša Ninkov who will be accompanied with his closest associates from the company's GIS sector.
