Patients from Emirates arriving to Banja Koviljaca, Vrnjacka Banja and Mladenovac spa

Patients from the United Arab Emirates, whose state sets aside USD 50 million annually for their treatment, will be coming for rehabilitation to spas in Serbia in the future, as was agreed at today's meeting between Minister of Health Zlatibor Loncar and the UAE Undersecretary of the Minister of Health, Mohammad Salim Al Olama.

Loncar said to the press that the first patients would arrive to Serbia's RH centers in late 2017 and that it was necessary for a reception office to open before that.

– The Emirates set aside USD 50 million for the rehabilitation if their patients annually. So far, they've gone to the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, etc, and the Serbia RH centers can be competitive in both the quality and the prices – Loncar said following the meeting.

He added that they had also talked about the Emirates' investing in Serbian healthcare.

– They want to be our state's partners and to invest in new hospitals and spas – the minister emphasized.

Mohammad Salim Al Olama emphasized that they had witnessed the standards of the Serbian RH centers, that they would work on sending patients from the Emirates to Serbia for recovery, because, as he says, Serbian spas feature high standards and high quality.

Representatives of the Emirates are interested in sending patients for recovery to Banja Koviljaca, Vrnjacka Banja and the Mladenovac spa.
