Šarančić in Rome on June 16 - Italians interested in overhauling Belgrade-Bar railway

- Italian partners expressed their readiness to carry out complete overhaul of the Belgrade-Bar railway - said the CEO of company "Serbian Railways, Milanko Šarančić, on June 11th and announced that he would meet the CEO of Italian Railways on Monday, June 16th, in Rome.

On the occasion of the opening of repaired Bela Reka - Veliki Borak section, 12 km long, of Belgrade-Bar railway, Šarančić estimated that the overhaul of the Bar railways would be "valuable, strong and important project".

He announced that several smaller sections of few kilometers each would be repaired on that railway to Valjevo, which will enable travelling at speed of 80 to 120 km per hour on that section. These works will be financed by "Serbian Railways".
