"Autobanat" invested 6.5m EUR in procurement of vehicles in 2.5 years - purchase of another 10 buses in the pipeline

Zrenjanin-based company "Autobanat" has announced today (June 9, 2008) that total of 6.5m EUR has been invested in the procurement of new buses and automobiles for the needs of taxi service since privatization took place, two and half years ago.

The CEO of that company, which is now a part of the group of bus transportation companies of Mile Jerković, Goran Agramović, said at the press conference that 32 new buses had been bought, as well as 66 passenger automobiles "golf".

"Autobanat" currently owns 107 vehicles and it plans to buy another 10 buses in order to ensure more comfortable and more secure transportation of passengers.

Agramović pointed out that the number of workers was constantly growing because about 100 people have been employed since the privatization, so that "Autobanat" currently has 518 employees.

Since the business capacities are growing, "Autobanat" will soon have nearly 700 workers.

- In addition to taxi service in Zrenjanin, which uses 48 new vehicles, "Autobanat" has recently offered taxi services to the citizens of Kikinda, while opening of the taxi service in Senta at the end of summer is in the pipeline - said Agramović.
