Contract signed on revitalization of facade on building of General Staff in Belgrade - 143m RSD worth of works to be carried out by "Jugogradnja"

The City Secretariat for Housing and Public Utility Affairs signed the contract on June 5th on revitalization of the facade on building of the General Staff in Kneza
Miloša Street with company "Jugogradnja".
The works, worth 143m RSD, should be carried out by the company within 540 days. The experts from the Faculty of Architecture will be supervising the works, while conservation supervision will be done by the Institute for Preservation of Cultural Monuments of Belgrade.
The contractor will carry out works on revitalization of all surfaces, details, structures and materials the facades are made off, and all repairs will be done with the same material that was initially used for covering the facade.
The building of the General Staff of the Army of Serbia was built between 1926 and 1928 according to the project of Russian architect Vasilije Baumgartner.
The project was elaborated by the Institute for Preservation of Cultural Monuments of Belgrade and it includes revitalization of all facades, partial replacement of roof with the substructure of the building, as well as rehabilitation of damaged parts of the facility.
