Nova Varos – construction of a regional waste depot for the 3 surrounding municipalities

MPs of Nova Varos Assembly accepted the project solution of the Institute “Kirilo Savic” from Belgrade concerning the construction of a sanitary depot of communal solid waste which will be built in the vicinity of the regional road Donja Bistrica – Priboj and be used by the three municipalities – Nova Varos, Prijepolje and Priboj.

The location for the construction of the depot is somewhat more than 500m from the shores of Potpec accumulation lake (Hydro-plant Potpec). The depot will be built according to the world standards; so far, the only depot built in such a way is the one in Vrnjacka Banja (another two are being build in Gornji Milanovac and Kikinda).
