Gazprom increases export to Europe by 14.6% in 2017 – Production grows to 144.9 billion cubic meters of gas

The Russian gas company Gazprom increased its gas production by 12.5% to 144.9 billion cubic meters from the beginning of the year till April 15, whereas exports to Europe jumped by 14.6% to 58.5 billion cubic meters, the company reported on Monday, April 17.

– Gazprom continues increasing the production of gas intensively, whereas exports to countries outside the CIS are constantly growing – says the company’s press release.

Potential importers of gas from Nord Stream 2 have made greater demands for Russian gas, with exports to Germany increasing by 18.7%, to Austria by 68.5%, and to Denmark by 30.5%.
