Representatives of the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure have started negotiating with the Chinese about the construction of the highway section from Preljina to Pozega, stated Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic at the opening of the new toll booth at Vrcin.

– The section from Preljina to Pozega is 31 kilometers long. We have estimated it at around EUR 390 million. This is very expensive, as you have to go through the the Ovcar-Kablar Gorge – Vucic said.

He added that the construction of Corridor 11 up to Boljare at the Montenegrin border would continue, but also that the branch from Uzice to Sarajevo would be built.

Vucic said that negotiations about the construction of the Morava corridor Pojate-Preljina, meant to connect Corridors 10 and 11, had been re-initiated.

As announced earlier, two section of the highway on Corridor 11 should be completed by late October, thereby connecting Obrenovac and Preljina by a 103-km highway.

The workers from the China Communications Construction Company should complete the section from Surcin to Obrenovac in slightly under three years.
