The low-cost airline Ryanair has transported a total of 50,000 thousand passengers to and from Nis in the past eight months, the Irish airline reported. In the upcoming season, the company will continue to provide flights to the current four routes – Berlin, Bratislava, Bergamo and Dusseldorf.

– We look forward to growing our number of destinations in Serbia and increasing traffic and tourism in the coming period – said Ryanair East Mediterranean Marketing and Sales Manager Dimitra Apatsidou at the press conference at the Constantine the Great Airport.

She reminded that the company's goal was to transport a total of 120,000 passengers on the said routes in the first year, and, as reported by Ex-Yu Aviation News, information on potential new routes from Nis might be presented the next month. Unofficially, the airline is negotiating about flights to Paris, Barcelona and Malta.

They add that the company is not considering flights from Belgrade at the moment, due to high costs.
