Negotiations with second-ranked bidder for IMT to commence next week

Meeting with the representatives of the
second-ranked bidder for the Industry of Machines and Tractors (IMT)
has been arranged and it should be held at
the beginning of the next week.
People in the Privatization Agency remind that the second-ranked consortium, which consists of companies
"Neverfield limited" from British Virgin Islands and "Pol-Mot Warfarma" from Poland, was invited on May 21st to come
the Agency for the round of negotiations and that, having in mind the
deadlines, the negotiations should be ended around June 20th.
This consortium, which is led by former Minister of Energy, Goran Novaković, offered 109.3m EUR for the capital of IMT and 13m EUR for investments. Before that, the first-ranked consortium HAS-SIP gave the best offer – 121.1m EUR for the assets, but it suddenly gave up because the banks did not want to back that transaction.
One of the essential differences between these two bidders lies in the fact that consortium HAS-SIP, which consists of the Swiss company owned by businessman Filip Zepter from Switzerland and "Strojna industrija" from Slovenia, offered 12m EUR higher price for the assets than the second-ranked bidder and 10m EUR worth of investments.
