Construction of University Center in Šimanovci, 100 million USD

Construction of University and Scientific centers in Šimanovci, which will be financed by Mladen Martin Selak from Chicago and the US Government, should start in November.

Selak Foundation has recently bought land on territory of that local community and the construction of the first facility will start as soon as the building permit has been issued. According to the preliminary project, the scientific center will be built on that location, which will become the University center in time. There will also be a lake, parks and other scientific institutions. The investment is worth about 100 million USD and it is one of the biggest not only in Šimanovci, but also in entire Serbia.

The University center will be intended for domestic students and students from diaspora. The intention of Mladen Selak is that the most talented students receive scholarships, whereas the others would pay tuition.

The Center will encompass the faculty of management, foreign languages and phylosophical sciences, and, as Selak says, special intention will be given to the ethics, development of interhuman relations, as well as to fight against alcoholism, drug addiction and smoking. The students will be taught by the best experts from abroad.
