Atomic bomb and TV reality show have been declared the worst inventions of all time, while wheel and Internet have won the title of the best inventions in the poll conducted by a British web site focused on the domain of culture.

The third, the fourth and the fifth place on the list of the worst inventions belong to death penalty, plastic bags and credit cards. The list of the best inventions also includes penicillin, equality of sexes and contraceptive pill.

The polled have also made the rank list of the creators of the most significant ideas in the history, and that list includes the renneissance genius Leonardo da Vinci, British naturalist Charles Darwin and US civil rights fighter Martin Luther King.

The poll, in which 1,000 people took part, has been conducted for web site "museums 24 hours non stop", financed by the Government in London, and its task is to promote museums, art galleries and cultural heritage of Great Britain.
