New courses in dual education system – Austria supports training Serbian high school students

He said at the press conference at CCIS, where results of the cooperation between Serbia and Austria on developing dual education were presented, that the aim of the new educational system was for young people to be trained professionally for the needs of various companies.
– We are educating the young to stay in Serbia, not to go abroad – Cadez said in answer to the question whether, following the acquisition of professional qualifications through dual education, the brain drain would continue.
As part of the development support project, in addition to professional help, Austria is also providing around EUR 100,000 as financial help to training students of the Trade School in line with the dual system.
Advisor to the Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development of Serbia, Gabrijela Grujic, said that 120 students of the Trade School in Belgrade had already been sent to retail chains, whereas the Vice President of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, Martha Schultz, estimated that Serbia had achieved good results in dual education over the course of a year.
