The joint trade and tourist representative of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina in Istanbul should start operating in April, announced Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic.

– The establishment of a joint representative is a good message of peace for the region – Ljajic said for Politika.

He reminded that the Turks comprised the majority of the tourists in Belgrade and said that Serbia and B&H might organize tours to both countries as well.

The memorandum on founding the representative was signed in October 2016, the premises have been found and the opening ceremony has taken place, but it is yet to start operating, as, according to Ljajic, a problem with registration has occurred.

– A problem of registering the representative has occurred, as these are two states, and the solution is to found a joint NGO of Serbia and B&H, which should formally run the representative – Ljajic explained and added that the registration of the representative was in progress.
