New unit of company "Skenderpromet" in Tavankut - investment worth 39m RSD

In wood-processing company "Skenderpromet" in Tavankut, near Subotica, the new, 39m RSD worth of unit for production of wooden palettes has been opened today (May 21, 2008).

Half of the investment was provided from the budget of Vojvodina and the unit was opened by the President of the Provincial Executive Council, Bojan Pajtić.

- The unit is built within the scope of the project for new technologies and materials, on the basis of which we hired 17,000 people over the past year - said Pajtić.

According to his words, that and the other programs of the Executive Council of Vojvodina are to be "blamed" for lowering of unemployment rate in the province by 20%. "Skenderpromet" will employ 20 new workers, while another 90 will be hired through various cooperations.
