(Aleksandar Vucic) By the end of 2017 , average salary in Serbia will amount to EUR 440, Prime Minister of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic said, adding that there will be an increase, but not insofar as growth of the Serbian economy will lack.

In his appearing on Prva television, Vucic reminded that a three percent growth annually, as much as Serbia generates, totals EUR to 1.2 billion while deficit expected is 300 million, which, he explained, leaves EUR 900 m of spare space.

- I think the solution for us in the coming period is in a controlled increase of salaries until we arrange and decrease public debt - the prime minister Vučić said.

Foreign direct investment in Serbia, he added, are far above regional average, and this was achieved by improving business environment, as confirmed by the European Commission, IMF, the World Bank, as well as major credit agencies.

He agreed with his interlocutors, Pavle Petrovic from the Fiscal Council and economists Dragan Djuricin that the level of investment GDP should be raised from 18 to 25%, but says it could be done due to lack of significant investments in SME sector which employs 780.000 people.
